The Project
Due to high cost and increased demand for housing, The City of Cambridge is funding affordable housing projects.
The Challenge
In order to keep costs down, utilization of existing city owned properties is being employed. Through creative design and construction techniques, the subject sites can be fully utilized. One third of the subject site along the back of the property slopes upwards towards an existing residence.
The Solution
In order to maximize the use of the site, Maple Site Solutions Inc. was retained to provide a design, supply, and installation solution to retain the soil at the back of the property. Maple Site Solutions Inc. was able to implement a full height unbraced solution without any impact to the neighbouring properties.
